Chasen Hill teaching Jiu-Jitsu
About Chasen Hill

Jiu-Jitsu should become part of your life, not take it over.

I've spent the last 17 years training and teaching Jiu-Jitsu, with a focus on helping everyday students find a way to keep learning, improving, and enjoying the process.

2nd-Degree Black Belt 17 Years Teaching & Training Edmond, Oklahoma
Why I Teach

I want Jiu-Jitsu to be something you can keep doing.

I started teaching when I was a blue belt and have been coaching ever since. Today, I'm a second-degree black belt training and teaching in Edmond, Oklahoma, under my coach Ty Gay.

Most of the people I've worked with over the years aren't professional athletes or future world champions. They're everyday people balancing Jiu-Jitsu with careers, families, responsibilities, injuries, and everything else that comes with life.

Jiu-Jitsu has had a huge impact on my own life, and over the years I became increasingly interested in why so many students struggled to keep it as an important part of theirs.

Students would get frustrated. Progress would feel slow. Training could become confusing or overwhelming, and eventually something they once loved became difficult to maintain.

How can we make Jiu-Jitsu easier to understand, easier to develop, and easier to keep doing for a long time?

That question has shaped the way I teach ever since.

What I Want for My Students

You don't have to be a world champion to become good at Jiu-Jitsu.

I want the people I coach to feel like they have someone who genuinely wants the best for them.

You don't have to build your game a certain way. You don't have to represent anything. And you don't have to organize your entire life around Jiu-Jitsu to make real progress.

I want you to feel capable of improving, developing your own game, and continuing this for years, regardless of your age, schedule, responsibilities, or starting point.

Whether your goal is to earn your black belt someday, become more confident on the mats, or simply make Jiu-Jitsu an important part of your life, I want to help you find a way to keep moving forward.

Jiu-Jitsu can be something you grow with, not something you eventually grow out of.
