I’m a first-degree black belt and have been teaching since I was a blue belt.
Believe it or not, at one time, I was also a struggling student, craving direction for my training.
I would pick random moves to focus on training without having any actual logic, hoping and wishing it would pay off.
This method led to such inconsistent training results that, at times, I even considered quitting.
It wasn’t until I started approaching my training in a more strategic way that gave me the desired results I was looking for.
I had to stop assuming what my Jiu-Jitsu needed based on my current belt rank, what the latest greatest technique was at the time, or trying to copy what everyone else in my academy was doing.
This realization led me to examine how I approached training Jiu-Jitsu daily, and once I finally figured out what my Jiu-Jitsu needed, the direction finally revealed itself.
This mindset has accelerated my own Jiu-Jitsu and hundreds of others. It’s now my mission to show Jiu-Jitsu students how to gain the clarity and direction 10x faster than I was able to myself.
